So I went to watch "The Social Network" with my boyfriend saturday night. We were excited to see this movie becuase it's the type of film you can think about and discuss after watching. We sat through the previews, reviewing and commenting on all the new 'stupid looking' movies coming out and the occasional kiss. :] Now, movie theatre etiquette is that once the lights dim, and the screen displays the opening credits to a movie, the people in the aduiance become silent and cell phones are put away. These rules apparntly only apply to anyone over the age of 14. If you are 14 or younger, you are the person in the movie theatre who is yapping, texting, and kicking chairs without regard. If you are 14 and under...you do not care that i have leaned my head so uncomfortable foward, and stared intently at you because you are BOTHERING me. IF you are 14 and under, you do not notice the 18 year old man rubbing his head while yelling "OH MY GOD THEY'RE SO ANNOYING." And finally if you are 14 and under, you do not care that you have been so rude that the people sitting next to you had to move to differnt seats accross the theatre from you, just to be able to watch the movie. WHY do you even go to the movies 14 year olds? WHY? wouldn't it make more sense to go somewhere you can talk and text without bothering anyone? I mean...you ARE paying for the movie. Is socializing really worth $10 if it's free anywhere else in the world? I don't get it!!
