so my dorm building is all girls. The building right next to ours is all boys. The office where you go to complain, get lost keys, or do anything relating to your dorm is done in the boys lobby. this of course became my worst nightmare. I was getting up early one morning as I usually do, and going to through my normal routine. I get up, put my shower shoes on, throw on a robe, stick my keys in my robe pocket, grab shower essentials, and head off to our COMMUNITY SHOWER. now keep in mind that "community shower" means that I leave my bedroom, walk down the hall, and shower like you would in a locker room. So everything was going fine, the hot shower made me feel much more awake and I was actually in a good mood despite how tired my body was. I got to my door and suddanly got a flash back from the previous night when I took my bedroom key off my key chain so i could stick it in my pocket, and not take a purse out. I looked at my key chain, and sure enough...i was locked out...naked. So with nothing but a tiny robe on, I had to #1. go out side in the freezing cold, down three flights of stairs to get to the boys building. #2. realize that i didnt have my key card to swipe to get into the boys dorm. #3. have to wait outside untill a boy walked through the front door so i could squeeze in. #4. deal with the strange looks i was getting for being wet, naked, and carrying a bucket filled with shower things. and #5. after retrieving my spare key, realize that i was also locked out of my dorm now because of the lack of key card. Then almost have to tackle this one girl who was coming out to let me in! she understood. Once I got back into my room..this is the point where i realized that i had just LOCKED MYSELF OUT OF MY ROOM NAKED AND DRIPPING WET. I started to laugh at myself and felt extreme embarrissment at the same time. When i went back to the boys dorm to return my spare key, i had the delight of a crowd of boys waiting in the hallway for me, just so they could applaud as i returned my key fully dressed. *sigh* ...do these things ever happen to anyone else?

bubbles bubbles everywhere

So I'm a freshmen in college, and haven't quite gotton the hang of the "dorm life". See, at night, I'm not one to go party and drink untill I have no reccolection of the last 5 years. I enjoy going to sleep and getting well rested for the next day in which I get up very early to go to classes. Apparntly, I am the only one. Well anyway, there are only 4 washers that my entire 3 story dorm building gets to share, so washing your laundry is basically a "first come first serve" or "im first but you look like you could kill me" situation. One day I FINALLY got the opportunity to do laundry but for one washer, I only put on t-shirt in because it was brand new and a very pretty white! Thinking nothing of it, I poured a normal amount of detergent into the washer and went back to my room planning on returning for the dryer session in 30 minutes. When I went back to get my laundry, the ENTIRE laundry room was flodded with watery bubbles. Even though all the other washers were full, I knew that somehow this was my fault. So I walk into the laundry room and standing there with her hands gripping her hair in a great amount of distress was our cleaning lady. I immediatly said "it's my fault, im so sorry" without even inspecting. once I looked at the washers, i could see that the washer with my one t-shirt was the one puking bubbles. I reached inside, rang out my shirt, and threw it in a dryer. I offered to help but the cleaning lady as beyond the point of human interaction and i mean...what could i really do anyway? So she kinda half smiled at me and said she'd take care of it, and i went on my way. 40 minutes later when i went back to get my laundry from the dryer, the laundry room was all cleaned up, a little slippery, but not a disaster area as it once was. even though i felt bad, i couldn't help but wonder how the hell she cleaned it up so fast! Well anyway, i was the first... and probably the last to flood the laundry room...moral of the story? small amount of clothing equales a small amount of soap. JOTT THIS DOWN IN A NOTEBOOK SOMEWHERE!!
