ugh middle schoolers

So I went to watch "The Social Network" with my boyfriend saturday night. We were excited to see this movie becuase it's the type of film you can think about and discuss after watching. We sat through the previews, reviewing and commenting on all the new 'stupid looking' movies coming out and the occasional kiss. :] Now, movie theatre etiquette is that once the lights dim, and the screen displays the opening credits to a movie, the people in the aduiance become silent and cell phones are put away. These rules apparntly only apply to anyone over the age of 14. If you are 14 or younger, you are the person in the movie theatre who is yapping, texting, and kicking chairs without regard. If you are 14 and under...you do not care that i have leaned my head so uncomfortable foward, and stared intently at you because you are BOTHERING me. IF you are 14 and under, you do not notice the 18 year old man rubbing his head while yelling "OH MY GOD THEY'RE SO ANNOYING." And finally if you are 14 and under, you do not care that you have been so rude that the people sitting next to you had to move to differnt seats accross the theatre from you, just to be able to watch the movie. WHY do you even go to the movies 14 year olds? WHY? wouldn't it make more sense to go somewhere you can talk and text without bothering anyone? I mean...you ARE paying for the movie. Is socializing really worth $10 if it's free anywhere else in the world? I don't get it!!

So at my college, there's a program where you can take an introductory class for math, and live on campus for one month during the summer. The dorms you stay in during this month hold up to 4 people, (they're more like apartments). Well "lucky" me, I was one of the only dorms to get all three roommates. One of the roommates was really nice, and we became instant friends, but the other two...well lets just say that I lived with the typical "drama queen/gossip filled/party girls." So every night between 2 and 4 these girls would come in either drunk, high, or full of energy, making noise, turning on lights, talking and laughing at the top of their lungs, slamming cabnits and the fridge door..all kinds of stuff. Well with my intensely light sleeping habbits, this would wake me up every time and prevent me from going back to sleep. This was only problem number one. They would also use dishes, and i mean, they made hellacious messes, and just leave the dishes where ever. If they made eggs, MY pan would sit on the stove for days with egg all in it. If they made pasta, they'd leave pasta not only in MY pan but on the plates they ate off of just anywhere. Well this became a problem because our apartment started smelling really bad, and the good roommate and I would clean angerly, but only to have more messes made daily without regard for us. Well needless to say things got worse and worse to the point where my friend and I dreaded coming back to the dorm every day, and got in to this huge deal with the other two roommates where we wouldn't speak or even look at eachother for days. SO twards the end of the program, I came home from my first class, put my key in my bedroom door, and busted my ass trying to get into my room. the horrible roommates had taken pam to the floor in front of my bedroom. yea...just my luck. I get the no good/manner challenged/good for nothing/ country dumbasses for roommates. well anyway I reported them finally and hopefully got them into trouble. I'm just glad I get my own dorm in the fall!
So I go to college in a town that's filled with all kinds of insects and pesky creatures that seem to flock to the dorms on campus. I was downstairs with my friends arround 9:30pm last night chattin it up and avoiding the annoying ass crickets that jump really high in the air and land on your head. I decided it was time to come up to my dorm and get some rest, so I said my goodbyes and came up the stairs. Well once I got inside my dorm and was about to head off to bed, I noticed a famaliar sound in my room. the cricket. I said to my roommate, "oh hell no!" and proceeded to look for him every where in my room, but I couldn't seem to find him! So I went to the living room, and walked twards the kitchen, and the sound only seemed to get louder. So I pressed my ear agienst the wall of my roommates room, and listened really hard. I said, "Jessica, I think the cricket is IN your wall." Then my other roommate who was sitting on the couch said, "sammy? It sounds like the cricket is ON YOU!" This is the moment of Terror when I realized that the cricket was in my hair. All three of us started screaming, and both of my roommates sprinted to their rooms as I violantly shook my hair with both hands, and screamed throughout the entire apartment. The cricket finally jumped to the ground, which made us scream even more, and we killed his ass. But though he's dead, I believe the crickets are trying to send me a message. They are threatening me...telling me that this isn't over, and I am the number one target.
